Cosmos Hotel Group, a leading federal hotel operator, and the Russian State University of Tourism and Service (RGUTIS) will jointly prepare and compile educational programs for the hospitality industry. The corresponding agreement was signed at the university during the working visit of Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.

The document was signed by Alexander Biba, President of Cosmos Hotel Group, and Ambartsum Galustov, Acting Rector of RGUTIS. The signing ceremony was also attended by Valery Falkov, Head of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, and Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of Russia. The purpose of the signed agreement is bilateral cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere, including in terms of personnel training for the hotel industry. We are talking about the development and implementation of the joint master's program "System management of the hotel and restaurant complex", assistance in the selection of teaching staff for the implementation of joint educational programs. Cosmos Hotel Group specialists will provide expert assistance in the preparation and implementation of educational programs that meet the modern demands of the hotel industry.

According to the agreements reached, RGUTIS students will be able to complete internships and internships at Cosmos hotels, which includes 38 hotels in 23 Russian cities. In addition, Cosmos Hotel Group and Cosmos Academy of Hospitality will assist in the professional internship of the RGUTIS faculty, which will synchronize theory and practice, as well as current trends in the hotel industry.

It is important that our students will undergo internships directly at the place where they will be able to apply their professional skills," said Ambartsum Galustov, Acting Rector of RGUTIS.

Cosmos Academy:

The federal hotel operator Cosmos Hotel Group launched its own educational program (Cosmos Academy) for personnel training in 2018. The program offers students more than 50 areas of study in various applied specialties, including vocational schools, management and service programs. The training covers a wide variety of staff groups, both line staff and top management of the hotel. For example, students can access professional retraining programs such as "Modern Hotel Management: for general managers and GM candidates", specially designed for managers of hospitality enterprises; advanced training program "F&B Director: modern restaurant management"; advanced training program "Revenue Management", which forms students' competencies in in the field of dynamic pricing and demand management.
